Egg Custard

4 eggs
1 cup milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 frozen pie crust

Mix eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and butter. Pour into pie crust. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Cook in 300 degree oven until lightly brown.

Cheese Mash Potatoes

5 pounds white potatoes
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 bag shredded cheese

Dice potatoes. Cook the potatoes until very soft. After potatoes have cooked, drain in colander, and place in large bowl. Add 2 sticks of butter, 1/2 cup of milk, salt and pepper to taste. Blend the butter, milk, salt and pepper with electric mixer (add more milk if potatoes are too thick). Blend in 1/2 bag of shredded cheese while potatoes are still hot.

Country Style Steak

2 lbs cube steak
1 small onion
4 tablespoons flour
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 pkg. mushroom gravy mix
1 qt. water
olive oil

Brown steak in iron skillet in 3 tablespoons olive oil. Remove steak and place in large pot. Add the flour to olive oil in pan to brown. Add water and mushroom gravy, stir well and add to the large pot. Add onions, salt and pepper. Cover with lid and cook for 2 hours in oven at 350 degrees
